Guy's background is as a radio and TV journalist, working for the BBC, IRN, Capital Radio, talkSPORT, Sky TV News and London News Tonight amongst others. He's covered Olympic Games, Rugby World Cups and 6 Nations, England cricket both home and away, Ryder Cups and Open Championships, has been a regular commentator at Radio Wimbledon, reports extensively on Premier League football and has been the voice of the Volvo Ocean Race. He also hosts events, and worked on the America’s Cup World Series around the world.
Glynn CropperManaging Director
Glynn’s background is in management, sales and marketing for a variety of major companies both inside and outside the radio industry.
WSC produces an audio update for the ICC, cricket’s world governing body. Gathering audio from major ICC events, WSC creates a daily programme for the ICC Media Zone. WSC also produced the Volvo Sailing Podcast for many years, a weekly programme featuring news and interviews from events and regattas around the world, and the Weekend Wager football podcast for Betfair.
The company offers sponsors the opportunity to provide on-site radio and/or video station to cover their events and exhibitions. The station can be streamed on a local FM licence and/or streamed via the internet.
WSC has conducted media training for the ECB with the England Lions. The company provides expert tuition in radio presentation but can also provide training in dealing with TV, press and social media.
WSC provides and has provided MCs and presenters for the Volvo Ocean Race, both for the race organisers and sponsors. This includes commentary on the boats’ arrival and departure to the ports during the race in various languages, hosting sponsor events for Inmarsat, Puma and IWC Schaffhausen amongst others, and presenting prize giving ceremonies. MC’s have also been provided for the America’s Cup World Series in Chicago, Gothenburg and Portsmouth and for AC sponsors such as BMW. WSC has also provided announcers for IMG at the Hurlingham Club and at the Masters Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall.
